I’m beyond excited to share something I’ve been working on for a long time — my brand new website (v2) is live!
Why I rebuilt the site
My old site did the job, but it didn’t reflect how I’d grown as a maker. I wanted a faster, cleaner, and more personal space where I can showcase projects, experiments, and notes as I learn.
What’s new
- Homepage: pressure-styled heading, spotlight, subtle motion that feels alive.
- Navigation: improved dropdowns and compact mobile nav.
- Features: labs, table of contents, quick access.
- Performance: optimized fonts and preload.
Design choices
I tried to balance aesthetics and readability: glassy cards, strong headings, and spacious layout.
Performance improvements
- Preloading key font assets.
- Code splitting big UI chunks.
- Smaller, self-contained components.
Accessibility
Accessibility is important. I aimed for keyboard navigation, color contrast, and readable sizes. Report issues at bugs@surajv5.in.
